Symbols have a life of their own: their associations with…
People visiting Rome this summer can’t complain for lack of entertainment options. Besides the SoyLatino Festival, Rock in Roma, Luglio Suona Bene at the Auditorium Parco della Musica and the New 900 Lab open-air club, visitors will be able to enjoy the festival All’Ombra del Colosseo (Under the Shadow of the Colosseum) that will take place at the enchanting Parco del Celio, located just beside the famous monument and a very nice place to visit on its own right.
The festival features mostly Italian comedians (in fact the motto this year is “Che Tajo””, Roman for “So funny!”) , so you might not be interested in the performances unless you have a pretty good grasp of Italian. However, the atmosphere will be worth it and besides, an open air restaurant and club has just been opened so you will be able to enjoy the evening through the universal languages of food and music!
The Parco del Celio is located almost literally under the shade of the Colosseum, a short subway ride away from Hotel Des Artistes or Yes Hotel. The festival will run from June 30 to September 8, 2013.
