Rome is home to many beautiful parks that once used to be owned by important wealthy families. One of these parks is Villa Borghese located near the famous via Veneto, known worldwide as the scenery of the dolce vita in Rome in the 50’s and 60’s. Like every year around this time, preparations begin for the much awaited International Horse Show at Piazza di Siena located in the park itself. It’s a yearly event that has been going on for over 80 years and attracts all types of people from VIP’s to regular horse fans. The cost of the show ranges from 40 to 60 euros per person depending on your seat location. It begins on the 28th of May 2009 and ends on the 31st. For more detailed information you can visit their website www.piazzadisiena.com. Spring just doesn’t begin without a visit to this event, and you won’t find better options for accommodation in the Eternal City than Yes Hotel, or Hotel des Artistes, both reasonably-priced and excellently located, just in the heart of Rome!
It’s really easy to arrive to Villa Borghese from any of our hotels, all you have to do is go to the Termini station, just a few blocks away, and there take the red subway line. Then get off at Spagna or Flaminio station and you are there!
